Saratoga County District Attorney Karen A. Heggen announced today that Defendant Jordan Hensleigh (DOB 01/30/1991) of Ballston Spa was sentenced in Saratoga County Court to 2-4 years for the attempted Assault on a NYS Court Uniformed Officer in the Village of Ballston Spa on September 19, 2022, and 2-4 consecutive years for violating a Court Order on March 24, 2022 in the City of Saratoga Springs.
DA Heggen stated, “The Defendant failed to follow the law, failed to follow the order of the Court, and thereafter attempted to assault a Court Officer. This behavior demands accountability and consequence and that is why Defendant is going to prison for an extended period of time.”
Ms. Heggen praised the work of the NYS Uniformed Court Officers, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the New York State Park Police for their quick thinking and dedication in holding the defendant accountable for his crimes. The cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Mary T. Northrup and Rachael W. Phelan, with assistance from District Attorney Investigator John N. Barney.
