Saratoga County District Attorney Karen A. Heggen reports that her office has been advised that the defense attorney for Craig N. Ross, Jr., dob 3/17/1977, has received an adjournment of the preliminary hearing that was scheduled for Friday, October 6, 2023 in the Town of Milton Court. The Milton Court has directed that Mr. Ross, Jr. next appear there on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 11:30 am. Ross was arrested and charged in the Town of Milton Court on Monday, October 2, 2023 with Kidnapping in the First Degree, a Class A-1 felony, in violation of New York State Penal Law Section 135.25(1). It is alleged that he abducted a person and wrote a ransom letter seeking to compel the payment of monies as ransom.
District Attorney Heggen notes, “Our office continues to work diligently and collaboratively with law enforcement to bring this case to justice. The assistance and support of our community is greatly appreciated.”
